Rose loves being a potter. She is always amazed that she can take a lump of clay and spin it into a mug, a bowl, a plate, or a jar…and each one can be completely different. A simple move of the hand, the tilt of the elbow, even the way you breath can make a piece magic. How could one not love that?

 

At the wheel, Rose throws functional pottery with a wisp of whimsy that can bring a smile to everyday life. Outside of the studio she is a travel advisor, and is constantly finding inspiration from the places she visits. Rose considers herself a novice, always learning from the many talented instructors, artists and students at Art Center West.
